About the Nashoba Sportsmen's Club

We are a non-profit, member supported sporting club affiliated with the National Rifle Association (NRA), Gun Owners Action League (GOAL), Greater Lowell Trap League, Middlesex County League of Sportsmen's Clubs and MASS Wildlife Federation.

The club offers a trap shooting range, a pistol/rifle range (21 feet, 36 feet, 50 feet, 25 yards, 50 yards, and 100 yards) and an archery range.

The club owns about 40 acres of land.  The Nashoba Brook and Butter Brook run through the Club and are stocked with trout by the Division of Fisheries and wildlife.

In addition, our trout pond is stocked each spring for a Youth Fishing Derby Day and for our Club members.

Being a member of supported club, our activities and facilities are managed through member committees.  These committees include: Trap, Rifle & Pistol Range, Archery, Building & Grounds and Social.  We ask for your volunteer support to participate on any of these committees.  It is through our common efforts that we enhance the facilities and enjoyment for all.
Guests are permitted to use the range and/or trap fields only when accompanied by a Club member.

Brief History of the Club

The Nashoba sportsmen's club had its earliest beginnings the late 1940s.  The first Clubhouse Building was a World War II type “Quonset Hut” in the location where the firing line is now for outdoor rifle range.  It was previously a hill containing gravel, which was then sold.  The original trap range was at a location where the tennis club utility shack is now, the direction of fire was exactly 180° from the present direction.  The current Clubhouse location has existed since the middle 60s.  Over the years, several famous shooters have visited the club and showed off their wares.  Television cowboy Rex Trailer has done shows here, even a circus has performed here.
